I've been knitting socks and then socks and when I got done with socks I knit some more socks .... so, I've been a tad burned out on the socknitting, LOL! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my husband and he wants many, many pairs of socks, of which I am more than happy to provide, but I am not fulfilling my job! I cast on and knit the cuff of the next pair I'm designing for him (with some of the yarn he picked out when we went to the moving sale @ my VERY FAVORITE lys) as soon as I finished Shannon's Lace Socks for her Easter basket (she loved them and the fuzzy dice, by the way!) and that's as far as I got...the cuff. Then I had a horrible episode with my hip/leg which meant my meds were increased for a while and I was hurting so badly I didn't even want to knit (now that's some hurting because knitting usually helps!). All that said to say, now that I feel like knitting again, I don't feel like knitting socks right now.....so, I'm taking a nice, fun break and have joined !! This will be a nice break from socknitting, we are to knit things for the bath so I'm going to knit a couple of quick washcloths, nothing like that instant gratification from a quick project! I had thought about designing some cloths, but quickly changed my mind because I want this to be mindless knitting and fun knitting! I hope to have those and Lonnie's socks done by end of the month because I must have a pair of socks completed for April for the ...you see, I found out about this kal and joined it late in the month last month, so my March socks didn't count, so I must finish these by month's end, which should be no problem!
Oh my, just thought I'd let ya'll know that I did place my order with Little Knits (I so love them!) and it took me forever to pick the color, I, of course, came back to the one I thought I wanted to begin with, the red DB Alpaca Silk DK, can't wait to see it...it will be gorgeous and, should I ever finish socknitting and begin shawl knitting it will be a lovely shetland triangle shawl (with accessories) for Christmas!! So, that order has helped a tad with my favorite kal, more like yal (yarn a long) !
And, as if that isn't exciting enough, my yarn pal is shipping my yarn today and yesterday my GORGEOUS yarn holder arrived...isn't that just divine?! And I love, love to work with these, too, they are not just "for show"...although, I did tell Lonnie that we are going to have to end up getting some type of glass enclosure for them because I've become obsessed and want more of them, they are great collectables! They, and my lucite purses, would look nice in a sleek, med. sized glass enclosure of some type....we will know it when we see it, I say "we" because Lonnie and I always shop together.
Oh, and how cool are these guys?!
OMGOODNESS, almost forgot! Knitty Gritty had Cat Bordhi on yesterday and the pattern for one of her new socks can be found here...it's a completely new and different sock construction and she's written a book with several new ways to construct a sock...gotta have it! And, I have a GORGEOUS hank of Schaeffer Anne that is begging to be this new sock!

I'll be interested to hear what you think of Cat's new sock thing. I was looking over the pattern at DIY and it looks interesting!
I couldn't find your email here, but mine is: delsandeen@yahoo.com. I'm so sorry I had to end cozy's place! But I just don't have the time anymore. Still, I'll be around & thanks so much for the good wishes. We'll talk, don't worry!
Thanks for telling me...I forgot to put my email on here after I changed to blogger beta! I'll do it now!
I saw that ep of KG. That toe construction was so different!
Very fun toys! :)
There is nothing else like knitting a dishcloth to give you a second wind to finish up a long project.
I imagine your lovely yarn holders would be wonderful for two color knitting!
happy knitting :)
