My goodness, I've not gotten back into the swing of things as quickly as I have wanted. Sorry, guys...I have neglected others' blogs as well as posting...my sincere apologies, it's just really taking a long time for my hip/leg to get better and my meds to get adjusted back to the norm (which will be done on my next appt. next week, thank God!). I hope to soon get my blog roll back up and running, too. Anyway, all that said to say, I am getting better and can now set aside time to visit your blogs and see what's going on with everyone....I have read here and there about this Stash Busting...I just don't speak that language, I'm more of a stash builder rather than buster! Although I've not gotten much yarn lately (lol, that really tells you I've not been feeling well, LOL!) just a hank of KnitPicks Bare Donegal and yet another size 1 circ! LOL, as I looked through my circs, I realized that this was my 8th or 9th size 1 circ...yes, it is the size that I use the most when knitting socks!
Oh my, let me tell you this, I have been using nice sock yarn lately and last night when I cast on with the KP Bare I realized exactly why I enjoy knitting with sock yarn that is more expensive....because it doesn't SPLIT and unravel and knot up like this stuff is doing! Although, I still think that it will make a cute pair of Easter socks, but I already know I'm going to be fussing about the splitting the entire time I'm knittng the socks!
Oh yes, the new pattern that I mentioned...another pair of socks for my honey, of course! These socks, the Mock Around the Clock Men's Socks are a quick knit, with an easy, fun pattern. I used a mock rib and I knitted at all times (I'm often up in the middle of the night because of pain from the hip/leg) so that's how I came up with the name...and...notice the clock . I used one skein of Opal (100 gr) sock yarn and sizes 1 and 2 circs (although I wrote the pattern for dpns).
I am now working on another pattern, this pair will be for ladies and then a pair for a 9-10 year old girl (these are for my daughter's 1/2 sisters' Easter baskets) and I will post the patterns when I'm done. I hope to have both of those socks and a couple of sets of fuzzy dice by Easter for baskets...so, I better go get some knitting done!

What nice socks! I know what you mean about nice sock yarn--I'm trying to use up the last of my cheaper sock yarn to make way for the really good stuff, LOL. Nice to "see" you!
OMG I LOVE THESE TOO!!!! if you don't stop posting fabulous man sock patterns, i'm going to be in serious trouble!!!! HOWEVER, i have a ball of opal that has rock around the mock written all over it! seriously, i am terribly excited about these men's socks patterns, they are hard to come by and i appreciate you!!!! awesome job!
i do hope you're feeling better!!!! (((((HUGS)))))
Great socks! Nice new stuff, too. :) I need to go to knitpicks and get some more circ. smaller needles. The options only go down to a size 4.
