I found out about it from my friend Wendy. I, along with Stacey and Wendy's anonymous Knit1Tea2 swapper are Wendy's 3 Pay It Forward participants.
It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
Please, be a PIF

Becka, you are one of the BEST people I know, what a great idea. We need so many more like you. Lots of love,
Lisa
I thought you would have had three by now!
This is a great idea! I'd like to join in please :)
Do we do our PIF part now or once we have received our package?
PIF is one of the best ways to live life! I love seeing the smiles from people when they've been PIFed....all the gratification I need!
What a neat idea! I really need to get a few things finished before I add anything else to my list.
We're learning 'set' dancing. I keep seeing it referred to as "Irish square dancing". Step dancing would be way too much for me to even think about attempting. :)
i'd also like to participate... but i'd probably have to wait till i finished w/the procreating first (to be honest my mind isnt my own)
and thank you for your post the other day... i'm much better today! i scared an subway train car full of commuters yesterday... (nothing like a pregnant woman yelling during rush hour to clear up some seats) hahah
it felt good!
Becka!!!!! my dear friend God bless you!!! I know I've been gone like forever!!! its my career, i'm in my last year of medicine and i've been soooo busy, I spent half the time at different hospitals and then the other half at the university taking more classes...I have not knitted anything since like 4 months ago!! :(((( I couldn't even knit during my vacation due to some issues I was trying to resolve with the university...How are you dear friend??? what has been going on?? I hate blogger for not letting me know when I have comments arrgg!!
Well talk to ya later Becka!!
luv ya tons!!
By the way the PIF idea sounds like a wonderful idea! :)
Hey Guys, If you have been here you may notice a difference, one of my PIF angels had to drop out for personal reasons (which is fine)...so...I NEED YOU, angel! So, should you like to participate, just leave a comment! It's going to be a BLAST!

I'm so happy to say that I have all 3 of my Pay It Forward Angels!! Thank you, Angels!
But, if you are interested in the PIF exchange (it's so wonderful I know lots are!) I ask that you head over to one of my angels' blogs.
Pop over & leave a comment on Julie's blog (if (she's not made the PIF post yet, just leave a comment in the current post that you would love to be a PIF angel of her's) or on Jacquie's Blog and tell her the same thing! I gotta tell ya, you are going to be LUCKY if you are one of their angels because they make BEAUTIFUL things!
And my 3rd angel, Colleen (roxtarchic) will be posting a little later, she's very preggers right now, but she will Pay it Forward in the near future and you will be super lucky to be her angel, she is a Rock Star!
THANK YOU, ANGELS...lots of love to all of you!!!
Thank you for the lovely comment that you left on my blog.
I have read about Paying it Forward on several blogs today - what a lovely concept it is.
And I don't mind in the least about being #4 here - I just stopped by to say "hello" and to let you know that Gone With The Wind is my favourite film :-)
Aknita! Please email me! Thanks so much, PIF is WONDERFUL!
GWTW does so rock, as a matter of fact, it's time for me to watch it again!

I love this idea and am perpetuating it on my own blog -
Not Much More Than This.
I am also tracking this through blogs back to the original source. I am thoroughly enjoying the new blogs I am visiting on the way.
My path so far includes:
Found on Life in the Lost World, who found on
Just a Flip Flop Mom, who found on Appliqué Today,
who found on Cotton Spice Blog,
who traced the movement back to
roxtarchicknits, who found here on Whimsical
Knitting.
I love this idea and wouldn't mind participating as well. I don't have blog though. How can I participate?

Thanks for all the comments! Thanks for the tracking, lib!
I'm sorry that I didn't notice your comment earlier Jude, I'm afraid that I don't go through past blog comments very often, I do so apologize.
Okay, there is a group on www.Ravelry.com that is called "Pay It Forward" if you check it out you can get help about Paying it Forward without a blog.
Thanks to EVERYONE who has and continue to participate in this wonderful exchange!
I'm a PIF kinda person, too. I would like to join!
I can't find anyone to PIF.....help!
