What's Shaking?!

Hope everyone is having a wonderfully festive holiday season!

My apologies, this will be a very short post just to check in and say hello! Things remain about the same around here, I've had a birthday, my leg is healing...what more can a girl ask for! I continue to follow doc's orders and do a bunch of nothing...haven't gotten a lot of knitting done, I'm afraid, I did finish my gorgeous shawl (as referenced in previous posts) but have not been able to get photos....sorry...perhaps next year, eh?!
I had a glorious birthday, showered with gifts! I will name a few from my dear friend Amy (again, sorry, I've not been able to get photos). I have a skein of divine alpaca yarn (got get some of the delish Kraemer Yarns!) that she got for me (and one for her) when she attended a fiber festival this year, since it's a limited edition I can't find a photo of it, exactly...you can see it here as the yarn used for the Celtic Cable Scarf (which is divine). Oh my...this yarn is simply .... yummy, there is no other word, it's a gorgeous natural color. Along with this one of a kind yarn she gifted me with Trekking XXL #71 which will match the socks that I am going to design to go with the wrap that I just completed...you know me so well Amy. Another gift that she gave me made me was something that I have been wanting for ages.... These name but a few....Amy, you are the best girlfriend around and you know exactly what to do when a bud is down...you are a among friends...thanks for being there for me during this mess! As I said, there are other gifts, but how many times do you want to read about all of the yummies that my hubby gives me?! Let's just say, as always, he loves to spoil me! I'll say what I've always said, he's the best husband in the world, in oh, so many ways.

Oh, a quick note on the knitting front, I am currently working on an unusual pair of socks, they will be my Christmas socks, I won't have the pattern up in time for others to knit them for Christmas, but the beauty of these socks will be that they can be knit for any holiday...or for none at all, this decision will be in your hands. With those I have at least 2 other pair of socks on the drawing board....all of which you will see in 2007, I hope.
So very, very sorry for the pictureless post...I do do hate that so I thought I would run a couple of repeats (forgive me, this Spoiled Knitter has been on rest far too long and is ready to be normal again!)... some family members.... Moshi is gorgeous and knows it...and doesn't care one bit about it, he knows what he's got
Sally, well, she knows she runs this home
Remington (Remmie/Remmy) is our newest addition and she is full of herself...attitude and then a bit more attitude! She's fun and her training is coming along quite well...if she wants it to do so...yet another diva in the family, as if we needed one!
I've missed you all, hope to be around a LOT more on '07!
Happy Knitting and God Bless!

Glad to hear you're ok, and still following Dr.'s orders. Doing nothing must be hard, but at least you can knit, and you have all the pet friends, real friends, and your Music Man to keep you company.

Happy (belated) birthday!! :)

Happy Birthday! Glad to hear it was full of nice surprises.

We have been without power and phone after a snow storm and now that we are back on the grid I wanted to stop in and see how you were doing. Continuing to pray.

Looking forward to seeing the new designs and to when you are back online.

She's alive!!! ;-)

Happy Birthday! please excuse the belated-ness. I've been out chipping and shoveling ice and snow off our roofs since our power came back on!

My prayers are still with you! I hope you can be up and around soon!

Hope you heal up soon. My first Trekking I bought many, many years ago was #78 (purples). I love that color and I don't really wear a lot of purple. Happy Birthday to you and congrats on the great gifts!
