Stay Tuned....

Happy Monday Blogland!
This is a short and sweet post to remind you all to stay tuned, my blog contest will begin shortly, definitely this week...but when?! No one knows, but I can tell you that it's going to be fun! And, I will be giving away some cool knitty gifts. And, that's all you get out of me on this topic now!

On the knitting front, I couldn't stand it and had to knit up the Malabrigo that I got in the mail last week. Boys and girls, it knits like a dream!! I didn't know exactly what I wanted to knit with it so I did end up writing a pattern for it...a yummy scarf entitled "A Touch of Whimsy" and the pattern link can be found on the sidebar.

I went out of town with my Music Man yesterday and on the ride I finished the leg on the 2nd sock as well as continuing (until I ran out of yarn!) to work on a shrug I'm knitting for my niece. I am winging it, no measurements, so...let's just hope it fits! I'm following the standard sizing for a 6 year old. I didn't think that I would get as much work done as I did, so I didn't bring the other skein of yarn with me...luckily, I had the sock to work on! All in all, a fun day trip with MM and a successful knitting car trip!

Your scarf is very pretty. I love the name you came up with for the pattern, too. Good luck on your niece's shrug. I bet she'll love it.

The scarf is just beautiful - I can't wait for the matching hat pattern (hint hint!!!!). I have some lovely Suri Merino that I bought to make something for me which has now been earmarked for this pattern. It is getting cold here so start that hat pattern! ;) (just kidding of course!) You are so creative and wonderful for sharing your pattners with us!
